Chateau de la Roche Gamay 2014

Chateau de la Roche Gamay 2014

Regular price £9.50

As the only red wine that made an appearance at our spring sitting of Wild Wine Club, featuring wines of the Loire Valley, this Gamay was delightful.
It was enjoyed with Rabbit, almonds, asparagus, gem, spring onion, wild garlic, rye, and white beans.

About the wine:
Aromas and flavours of fruits of the forest, with red cherries and peppery notes.
It’s well-balanced with a long aromatic finish.

The Producer:
The Chateau de la Roche is one of the oldest single estates of the Loire Valley, planted mostly with Sauvignon Blanc, and is one of the most renowned Sauvignon Blanc estates from the Loire.
Their work in two words is: elegance and balance.

Production note 25% carbonic maceration, 75% short traditional maceration, alcoholic fermentation ends in the liquid phase.
